To cre­ate a pass­word you can use im­me­di­ately, choose the char­ac­ter length in the drop-down menu 1 and click the Quick Pass­word tile. 2 This pro­duces a pass­word 3 that you can copy to your clip­board, or you can gen­er­ate a dif­fer­ent one. 4 You can in­clude sym­bols if you want to make the pass­word even more se­cure. 5


The Pass­word Lab 1 takes things a step fur­ther. It cre­ates a pass­word that’s ready to use but if you click the ‘Show more’ link, you can change the length 2 and spec­ify which char­ac­ters and sym­bols to in­clude by click­ing through the tabs. 3 You can view pre­vi­ously cre­ated lo­gins in the Pass­word list. 4


Set­tings 1 lets you con­fig­ure the pro­gram, in­clud­ing colour­ing the tiles (tick ‘Make me happy’). 2 You can set up a mas­ter pass­word 3 and en­cryp­tion key. 4 The More menu 5 has tools for gen­er­at­ing user­names and mak­ing ex­ist­ing ones harder to guess by swap­ping cer­tain let­ters with numbers (W3b U5er, for ex­am­ple).
