If you’re look­ing for ways to get your Word­press web­site to load more quickly, there’s plenty of ad­vice avail­able on the web, but the hardest thing is know­ing where to start. Find out if your page is listed on Google

If you don’t think you’re get­ting enough traf­fic to a spe­cific page, you can check that there are no search prob­lems by us­ing a new tool that’s just been added to Google’s ex­per­i­men­tal Search Con­sole. Go to bit.ly/goosc453, sign in with your Google ac­count and choose the web­site you want to look at in the ‘Search prop­erty’ sec­tion. Click ‘URL in­spec­tion’ and en­ter the web ad­dress in the search box. The re­sults dis­played be­low will tell you whether the page ap­pears in Google’s in­dex or not – and, if it doesn’t, will help you work out why.
