Cancer support service expands

-

The Macmillan Benefits Advice service for people attending the Western General Hos pi t a l in Edinburgh has been extended.

The service is a partnership between West Lothian Council and Macmillan Cancer Support and is available for anyone affected by cancer – the person with a cancer diagnosis, family, friends and carers.

No appointment is necessary and visitors can drop in to the Macmillan Information and Support Centre ( South Corridor) on a Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 1pm. Ward visits and appointments are available on request.

For details call 01506 283000 option 2, or 07775 025830, or email Macmillan@ westlothian.gov.uk.

The team from West Lothian Advice Shop has also introduced appointments to coincide with appointments at the hospital and ward visits for patients. In addition to drop-in sessions, the team is available on a Monday at the Patient Information Centre, Anne Ferguson Building, and on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at the Macmillan Information and Support Centre.
