A new visitor centre and café has been officially opened at Beecraigs Country Park.

The new facility, which is located in the former restaurant, also has a visitor reception for the park, managing facility bookings and the caravan and camping Site.

A new interpreta­tion and informatio­n area, which boasts some of the best views in central Scotland, has also been created.

There is also newly refurbishe­d toilet facilities amd public access Wi-Fi and PCs will also be installed in the near future.

Eirwen Hopwood, the council’s Parks and Woodlands Manager said: “We are delighted with the improvemen­ts and look forward to another busy spring and summer period.

“We have many attraction­s at Beecraigs and our new centre and café will be hugely beneficial to visitors and provides a spacious area for groups to meet and socialise.”
