Top players get awards

With the East League Championship to cheer about for the second year in a row, Whitburn Juniors Supporters’ Club members had plenty to celebrate at the Player of the Year function.

And there was double reason to celebrate as they had also sealed the Radio Forth Cup in what was another hugely successful season for the club.

Goalkeeper Larry Meade won the Supporters’ Club’s Player of the Year Trophy and full-back Bruce Clouston took the Players’Player of the Year.

Top scorer award went to Jim Docherty after he fired home 39 goals during the year.

Coaches Colin Sinclair and Alex Gardner, as well as secretary Jim Donald were recognised for their work at the club with special awards.
