Neil steps out for Oliver

A keen run­ner has raised over £ 2000 to help a lit­tle boy with mus­cu­lar dys­tro­phy.

Neil Foulkes took part in the West Loth­ian Half Marathon to raise money for char­ity and to help Oliver Gil­lon’s fam­ily to adapt his house for him.

Neil said he was de­lighted to com­plete the run in two hours and 14 min­utes, rais­ing £2327 which will be split be­tween Mus­cu­lar Dys­tro­phy UK and Oliver’s par­ents.

He said: “I would like to take this time to thank all the peo­ple that have sup­ported me through this time and for the peo­ple that do­nated.

“The next big event for Mus­cu­lar Dys­tro­phy UK is the Vir­gin Money Lon­don Marathon in 2018.”

To say an ex­tra thank you to every­one who do­nated Neil has or­gan­ised a spe­cial party for sup­port­ers at Deer Park in Liv­ingston on September 17 from 1pm to 5pm.

Ev­ery­body who helped Neil to reach his fundrais­ing goal is wel­come along.
