Neil steps out for Oliver
A keen runner has raised over £ 2000 to help a little boy with muscular dystrophy.
Neil Foulkes took part in the West Lothian Half Marathon to raise money for charity and to help Oliver Gillon’s family to adapt his house for him.
Neil said he was delighted to complete the run in two hours and 14 minutes, raising £2327 which will be split between Muscular Dystrophy UK and Oliver’s parents.
He said: “I would like to take this time to thank all the people that have supported me through this time and for the people that donated.
“The next big event for Muscular Dystrophy UK is the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2018.”
To say an extra thank you to everyone who donated Neil has organised a special party for supporters at Deer Park in Livingston on September 17 from 1pm to 5pm.
Everybody who helped Neil to reach his fundraising goal is welcome along.
