Events to raise cash for centre
A seri e s o f e x c i t i n g fundraisers have been organised that are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.
Lynn Smith, the activities organiser at Middleton Hall Care Home in Broxburn, is hoping people will get behind a drive to open an activities centre for residents.
Lynn and the SMILE team ( which stands for small meaningful interaction links everyone) want to transform the former tennis pavilion next to the home for use by the residents.
She said: “Middleton staff and friends decided to raise money for this project. Over the next few months we have several fundraising concerts and sponsored events that can be followed on our Facebook page.”
The first of these fundraising events is a barn dance on September 15 at Middleton Hall Bowling Club at 2pm with live music and high tea and a Halloween party has also been organised for November 3 at 2pm, also at the bowling club.
Tickets are £ 3.50, all welcome. If you would be interested in supporting the fundraising project or have fundraising ideas contact Middleton Hall Care Home 01506 852469.
