Family’s pride on Jenna’s big day as gala queen

West Lothian Courier - - Memory Lane -

After a seven-year gap, the village of Westfield were celebrating a gala day.

Jenna Traynor had gone to the previous one dressed as a fairy but the 12-year-old was crowned Gala Queen this time round - and her splendid costume was topped off with a tiara.

During Jenna’s big day, she toured the village in an open-topped limousine, although the progress wasn’t long as the field here the fun was taking place was just opposite her house.

Jenna’s mum Diane spoke to the Courier about how proud the family were that their daughter was chosen to be gala queen, but said that Jenna’s little brother Andrew didn’t really understand what all the fuss was about.
