Jordan fires up power challenge
Broxburn ace Jordan Gill proved he could mix it with the best last week during the British Superbikes Tri-Options Cup event held at the iconic Silverstone track.
The 16-year-old has been given special dispensation to compete in the event this term, with the lower age limit being 17.
However, Jordan’s prodigious talent was enough for him to be allowed to compete this term and he is the youngest in his class by a full seven years.
The Highsparks Motorsport Ducati ace was in fine form over the two races grabbing 11th spot in the first race, over five laps.
He dipped slightly in the eight lap second race, crossing the line in 12th spot.
The youngster has more than held his own over the previous two events and will be hoping he can take a further step forward as the Tri-Options Cup season comes to an end later this month.
The final races are set to take place in Assen beginning on September 29.
