Charity’s new appeal to mark Jak’s 18th
West Lothian charity the team Jak Foundation have launched a fundraising drive so they can help even more young people who are fighting cancer.
the charity was set up following the death of inspirational teenager Jak trueman who died from a rare form of cancer and the fundraising campaign was launched today (thursday) on what would have been his 18th birthday.
Before he passed away, Jak said he wanted a safe haven for young people with cancer and their families and so Jak’s Den was created.
And his mum, Allison Barr, wants to extend that service further and is looking to raise £180,000 to create a bigger centre.
