House raiders tar­get cars

Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses af­ter thieves broke into two prop­er­ties in Ar­madale in the early hours of Thurs­day, Septem­ber 14, then steal­ing a car.

In the first in­ci­dent, thieves gained en­try to a house on Marches Drive and found car keys which were then used to steal a white Kia Sportage, reg­is­tra­tion SL15WZA.

In the sec­ond in­ci­dent, thieves gained en­try to a prop­erty on Birk­dale Park and took car keys but the car was not taken.

Po­lice are now car­ry­ing out en­quiries into th­ese two house­break­ings and are urg­ing any­one who has in­for­ma­tion to come for­ward.

PC Ju­lias Nya­makanga said: “I’m keen to speak to any­one who may have seen any sus­pi­cious per­sons in the area of the Marches in Ar­madale in the early hours of Thurs­day morn­ing, or any­one who has seen the stolen Kia or has in­for­ma­tion on its where­abouts.”
