Executive councillor for culture and leisure Dave King said:“the Celebrating sports Award offers an excellent opportunity to highlight the work of those who have dedicated their time to improving sporting life in West Lothian over the last year. West Lothian council recognises the excellent work being carried out throughout the local area by volunteers, coaches, athletes and clubs. We want to celebrate the outstanding efforts, successes and achievements of coaches, officials, athletes and volunteers. the Celebrating sport Awards also aims to reward those who have already contributed to enhancing sporting activities in West Lothian and encourage others to get involved in the drive to improve lives through sport. We would encourage individuals and clubs to nominate those who they believe are deserving of the award.”
the awards will be presented at Linlithgow Burgh Halls on november 30, 2017.
