Tickets to music gig for mental health
Four bands will take to the West Lothian stage this month for a gig in support of mental health.
Life Model, Adullboy, Idkid and Mad rodents will play Boghall Parish Church on saturday, september 30, in connection with Artlink whose Leylines project hosts creative connections for mental health in West Lothian.
the gig was organised by local resident Peter Johnstone who said: “I wanted to bring fresh scottish talent to a small town in West Lothian where I come from.
“I wanted to give others incredible live music without the need to get to the city centres. Music is helpful in so many ways, it brings us out of ourselves and is a connection with others. Creativity is a joy and an escapism.”
tickets to the gig are free but there is a suggested donation of £3 to the arts and disability organisation.
Chris smith, from Life Model, said: “It’s important to take any opportunity to raise awareness and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health and get more people to talk about it.”
tickets for the concert, which will be on between 7pm to 10.30pm, are available from http://bit.ly/2wsCs1k.
