Hopkin delighted with display

West Lothian Courier - - Sports View -

Livi head coach David Hopkin was full of praise for his side after their victory over Falkirk.

The win keeps the club’s remarkable unbeaten away league run in 2017 going and the boss hailed his players for getting through a challenging week.

He said:“We had Inverness away last week and then Hibs on Tuesday night.

“I’d told the boys I’d be picking three separate teams and they bought into it.

“I thought we were magnificent against Falkirk, especially the young lads. James Penrice is a left-back and I’ve asked him to come in and play centre-mid and he’s done a great job. His reading for the first goal was great and he’s shown brilliant composure to find Danny.

“I’m a wee bit miffed that Jacko’s goal didn’t count in the first half if I’m honest because I thought it was a great header.

“The players have given me everything and that’s all I ever want.

“I think we dealt with everything they threw at us and to be honest I’d have been delighted before the game to get a point.

“To get two goals and the win is a great victory for us.”
