West Lothian Courier - - Sports -

Livingston boxer Thomas Dickson has been forced to pull out of his scheduled MTK Scotland bout in Paisley on December 16 after picking up an injury.

The 28-year-old will be out for six weeks after sustaining tissue damage to his hand which will bring to an end what has been a frustrating 2017.

After an impressive first year as a pro in which he picked up six wins from seven bouts, a string of injuries has seen him take to the ring only twice this year.

His pro record now stands at 7-2.

However, he is hoping for a quick return to the ring, saying:“I will return early in 2018 refreshed and refocused for a big year of boxing.”

While Dickson will not be on the card in Paisley, there will still be West Lothian interest as both Aidan McGlynn and Martin Taylor are gearing up for the Christmas Cracker card.
