Tune-in for Jak’s Den TV special

-

A spotlight is being shone on a charity for young people and their families in a TV special next week.

Jak’s Den in Livingston provides a haven for those undergoing gruelling treatment and was the vision of teenager Jak Trueman, who lost his own fight with an aggressive form of cancer.

The charity has received a £2000 grant from the STV Children’s Appeal and the cameras will be on Jak’s Den during a programme next week.

STV2 presenter Laura Boyd will join the children and parents.

Allison Barr from Team Jak said: “We are hugely grateful for the grant, which will help towards counselling and therapy for children with cancer and their families.”

Natalie Wright of STV Children’s Appeal said: “We are now in the midst of planning another fantastic line-up of fundraising events and programming for 2018.”

The show can be seen on Tuesday (March 20) at 8pm.
