dotandjoem­ac2@gmail.com> Westfield S.W.I. recently enjoyed a members ‘corners’ evening when skills as diverse as spinning, papercraft, assisi embroidery, pastry and potato scone making were demonstrat­ed. Great fun, good company and learning new skills made for an excellent evening. Rena Marshall won the competitio­n for Apple and Cinnamon Scones. And the amusing article beginning with the letter Z was won by Jean Fairbairn with a Zip Fastener. Next month it will be back to A which should be a lot easier. Next month’s speaker will be Hector Woodhouse who will be sharing his experience­s as a young engineer working on the Forth Road Bridge.
