Team a pleasure to watch

-

The dramatic late draw against Morton proved that this team refuses to give in ... writes Andrew Semple.

Unfortunately, the weather beat us on Saturday despite the best efforts of the club and volunteers as our lay-off extended to a fortnight.

That showed on Tuesday night against a Morton team we had beaten on three occasions this season without conceding a goal.

This time around it was a different story. We just weren’t at the races, and having gone down to 10 men and then a goal down with just a couple minutes to play, it looked like our great run of form was about to end.

The thing that makes this team so special, though, is that they never give up. With our backs against the wall and barely getting out of our half, the guys somehow found energy from nowhere and up pops the not-so-prolific Jackson Longridge to thunder one into the bottom corner to get a point with the last kick of the ball.

Even after a below par performance, you can never criticise this team for lack of effort and commitment and for that reason I’ll remember this team as being one of the best in the club’s history. It really is a pleasure to watch these guys give everything week in week out.

Next up is Falkirk for the sixth, and hopefully final time, this season and they will be a tough proposition and a win for the Lions all but guarantees an unbelievable place in the play-offs.
