Wright loses in US semi

Liv­ingston-born darts star Peter Wright suf­fered a semi-fi­nal exit at the US Darts Masters over the week­end as part of the World Se­ries of Darts tour.

The 48-year-old‘Snakebite’was heav­ily beaten , 8-3, by Rob Cross.

The English­man would go on to lose 8-4 to Gary An­der­son in the fi­nal at the Man­dalay Bay in Las Ve­gas de­spite hold­ing a 4-1 lead.

Wright, who is ranked sec­ond in the world but has been in­con­sis­tent this year, had ear­lier de­feated Daryl Gur­ney 8-6 as he gained re­venge for los­ing to the same player in the same event last year.

The Livi lad is amongst the eight PDC stars who will be mov­ing on to China later this week for the next round of the World Se­ries of Darts as he aims for the Shang­hai Darts Masters ti­tle.
