Gomis looks to earn a deal
Former Dundee United and Hearts midfielder Margaro Gomis made an appearance as a trialist for Livingston in their 2-2 friendly draw against Queen of the South – with manager Kenny Miller still running the rule over the 32-year-old.
Gomis, who won the Scottish Cup during his time with United, has most recently been playing in Malaysia for Super League side Kelantan but is keen for a move back to Scotland.
The former Senegal international moved to Scotland from the English non-league ranks in 2006, initially with Cowdenbeath before impressing in his short spell with the Blue Brazil and earning a deal at Dundee United.
After five years, he made the move to Birmingham City before later returning to United for a second spell prior to a stint at Hearts that included a loan period with Motherwell.
Meanwhile, it is understood that the Lions are keen to bring in St Mirren goalkeeper Ross Stewart as competition for Liam Kelly.
Former Wrexham and Everton goalie Louis Gray had been on trial with the club but their interest in the 22-year-old appears to be over.
Former Partick Thistle winger Steven Lawless is also on trial with the newly promoted Premiership club.
