Mackin in Bairns switch

Dy­lan Mackin has left Liv­ingston af­ter the striker was sold to Cham­pi­onship out­fit Falkirk for an undis­closed fee.

De­spite be­ing the club’s top scorer last term, with eight goals, the former Mother­well young­ster was shipped out on loan to Brechin City in Jan­uary af­ter the ar­rivals of both Ryan Hardie and Lee Miller to the Tony Mac­a­roni Arena.

Mackin, who ear­lier in his ca­reer had loan spells at both Air­drieo­ni­ans and Al­loa Ath­letic, signed for the Lions on a two-year deal af­ter be­ing re­leased by Mother­well.

He made 21 ap­pear­ances for Livi and was set to be move fur­ther down the peck­ing or­der this sea­son fol­low­ing the ar­rival of player-man­ager Kenny Miller.

Liv­ingston have a sell-on clause as part of the deal, with Mackin hav­ing signed a one-year con­tract with Paul Hart­ley’s men.
