Cen­tre praised for sup­port

the aerial as­sault course, HiRide, the ver­ti­cal climb­ing wall, HiClimb and the UK’s first free-fall­ing de­scen­der, HiFall, which have all been a huge hit with shop­pers since in­stalled in the sum­mer.

Ash­ley Bis­land, deputy cen­tre direc­tor, at The Cen­tre, added: “We are de­lighted with the funds raised by our shop­pers at our One Great Day event at the week­end and would like to say a huge thank you to ev­ery­one who came along on the day to take part and raise money at the same time for lo­cal chil­dren’s respite cen­tre, Sun­ndach and Great Or­mond Street Hos­pi­tal Char­ity.

“There was a great buzz as our cir­cus acts made their way through the mall in­ter­act­ing with shop­pers and putting a smile on peo­ple’s faces, whilst chil­dren en­joyed the arts and crafts, face paint­ing, glit­ter tat­toos and the candy floss, which all made for a great fun-filled day out for fam­i­lies who could shop, eat and play to­gether.”

One Great Day was es­tab­lished in 2014 and has so far raised over £400,000 for 93 dif­fer­ent chil­dren’s char­i­ties along with Great Or­mond Street Hos­pi­tal Char­ity.
