Karen Stewart 01506 882880 firstname.lastname@example.org St John’s Project – PCAP (Preventing Crisis Advice Project) the aim of the project is to reduce levels of worry and distress to patients who are suddenly/unexpectedly admitted to St John’s Hospital, Livingston. Working in close partnership with West Lothian Council and NHS Lothian patients will be able to access relevant, tailored advice, information and advocacy regardless of their health condition or circumstances of their admittance. The project provides free, independent and confidential advice, information and advocacy services to patients of St John’s. Referrals can be made through the Citizens Advice bureau West Lothian on 01506 444814 and the Advice Shop on 01506 283000 or at the St John’s information desk at the main reception where a selfreferral box is located. Kirknewton and East Calder Church The church hall in Kirknewton is used by various organisations external to the church as well as by church organisations. Kirknewton Youth Club is a weekly group for P7 and S1-S6 young people which meets on Friday evenings from 6-8pm in the Village Hall or the Green Room. Rainbows Girls aged 5-7 are welcome to come along to Kirknewton Village Hall every Wednesday during term times from 5-6.15pm. We have lots of fun doing different crafts, playing all sorts of games, learning new things, working towards special Girl Guiding badges and there is always lots of laughing going on. Brownies is for girls aged 7-10 and takes place after Rainbows on a Wednesday in the village hall 6.30-8pm during term times. We are similar to Rainbows but aim it at the slightly older age group. Games, crafts, badges, outings and weekends away at Brownie Camp are just a few of the exciting things the girls get up to when at Brownies. Through this action-packed programme, girls can build confidence by developing new skills, learning about the wider community, finding out about different cultures and getting involved with global issues like the environment and endangered species.
