Futsal women take part in big week
West Lothian College Ladies’futsal team took part in several events to mark Women and Girls in Sport Week.
It was the second year in a row in which the team have held events aimed at encouraging more girls and women in to sport and was a huge success.
They welcomed 40 pupils from local schools to a futsal festival at the college aimed at attracting more girls into the sport.
The following day, the college team travelled to Edinburgh to play a futsal match against a Scottish Government team, with the game ending 4-4.
The final event of the week saw five senior teams compete in a competition at the college for the WGSW Trophy. Teams from West Lothian College, Inveralmond High School and Murieston United took part in the competition, with United lifting the trophy.
Special guests were Scottish Women Premier League players Megan Quinn, Gill Ingles and Demi Falconer .
