In it together – boss

West Lothian Courier - - Memory Lane - Fauldhouse Utd ...... 0 Thornton Hibs ........ 4

Fauldhouse boss Jon Connolly says the club will regroup and bounce back stronger after their disappointing start to the season continued.

Despite having the better of the play in the first half, the Hoose went into the break two goals down thanks to Garry Thomson and Chris Ireland.

The hosts again enjoyed plenty of the play in the second half before Thomson netted his second with a smart strike on 63 minutes – before completing his treble with a stunning free-kick to round off the scoring.

Afterwards, Connolly took United’s Facebook page to release a statement that said:“I first and foremost I take full responsibility for displays by the team...be assured myself and coaching staff will be working hard to fix it and turn things around.

“The players are fully aware that I will not tolerate that performance and more so the attitude and lack of fight. We will regroup this week.

“I’ll be assessing the players’ reactions to Saturday this week and if I don’t feel they are up for the fight, they won’t play, simple as that. We all stick together and become stronger.”
