experts are appealing to find a new home for Cleopatra, a four-year-old Chihuahua cross who is currently living at Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre.

They say the sweet and gentle girl loves nothing more than being in the company of the one she loves.

A spokesperson for Dogs trust said: “Cleopatra is looking for an adult-only home with a single owner.

“She is happy to meet other small dogs outside and could live with a similar sized companion.

“Cleopatra would like an experienced owner who is familiar with the breed and their big personalities.

“She can be worried when you first meet her but soon makes friends. She loves to sit on your knee and cuddle up next to you, her favourite thing is to have her belly rubbed or her ears tickled.

“Cleopatra needs a quiet home with her own secure garden where she can potter around at her own pace.

“She is house-trained, happy to be left alone for short periods of time and does enjoy going for short walks and trips away in the car.”

If you think you can offer Cleopatra or any of the other 50 dogs currently available for rehoming please contact the centre on 01506 873459.
