More items are being accepted at rubbish tips

A wider range of items are being accepted at West Sussex’s rubbish tips.

Soil and hardcore will be accepted at all sites with the exception of Bognor, Midhurst and Westhampnett.

Plasterboard can be deposited at Billingshurst, Burgess Hill, Crawley, Horsham, Littlehampton, Shoreham and Worthing.

Asbestos can be taken to Burgess Hill, Crawley and Worthing.

Vehicles with trailers will also be able to access the Crawley, Billingshurst, and Worthing sites on weekday afternoons only, from 1pm to 6pm. In order to minimise queues, people are asked not to arrive at the sites before they open and to check opening times and days online before setting off.

To help ensure social distancing measures are maintained, unless strictly necessary for unloading large or heavy items, only one person should get out of the vehicle.
