Wil­son joins For­est Green

DE­FENDER Kane Wil­son has be­come For­est Green Rovers’ fourth sign­ing of the sum­mer.

Wil­son joins from Sky Bet Cham­pi­onship side West Brom on a two-year con­tract af­ter he was freed by the Mid­lands club.

The 20-year old, who can play as a wing-back on ei­ther side of the pitch, has spent the ma­jor­ity of the past two sea­sons on loan, at Ex­eter and Tran­mere re­spec­tively.

On the move, Wil­son said: “I’m re­ally pleased to be join­ing For­est Green, my fam­ily are so proud. Now I just can’t wait to get go­ing for the new sea­son”.

Rovers direc­tor of foot­ball Richard Hughes added: “We are re­ally pleased to get this one done, we see Kane as a great as­set to the foot­ball club and think he will be a good fit for us.

“He is the mod­ern full-back and can ef­fect the play at both ends of the pitch.”

Rovers have al­ready signed Dan Sweeney, Nicky Cad­den and Jack Evans this sum­mer.
