Wilson joins Forest Green
DEFENDER Kane Wilson has become Forest Green Rovers’ fourth signing of the summer.
Wilson joins from Sky Bet Championship side West Brom on a two-year contract after he was freed by the Midlands club.
The 20-year old, who can play as a wing-back on either side of the pitch, has spent the majority of the past two seasons on loan, at Exeter and Tranmere respectively.
On the move, Wilson said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Forest Green, my family are so proud. Now I just can’t wait to get going for the new season”.
Rovers director of football Richard Hughes added: “We are really pleased to get this one done, we see Kane as a great asset to the football club and think he will be a good fit for us.
“He is the modern full-back and can effect the play at both ends of the pitch.”
Rovers have already signed Dan Sweeney, Nicky Cadden and Jack Evans this summer.
