Diesel price at 12-month high
THE average price of diesel has reached its highest level in more than 12 months, new figures show.
A litre of diesel rose to £1.13 at the end of September amid speculation about a cap on oil production, the RAC said.
The average price has not been that high since August 10 last year. The price rises mean filling up an average-sized family hatchback with petrol is over £5 more expensive than at the start of the year.
