Tributes paid to tragic crash bikers

TRIBUTES have been paid to two motorcycli­sts who died after a collision with a van towing a trailer.

Philip Martin Brimble, 47, from the Bridgend area, and Philip Wayne Edwards, 44, from the Merthyr Tydfil area, died at the scene of the collision, which happened on the A40 Brecon Road between Llandovery and Halfway, in Carmarthen­shire, at noon on Sunday.

In a statement Mr Brimble’s family said he was the “dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Ann” who has “left a massive void in the lives of his family and friends”.

Mr Edwards was described as a “loving partner, father, grandfathe­r, brother and son and will be sorely missed by all his family and friends”.

Dyfed-Powys Police said two motorbikes and a Peugeot van towing a trailer were involved.

The driver and passenger of the van were taken to hospital for

treatment.
