Witness plea after brawl on evening train

-

A GROUP of men brawled on a train in a fight that saw “multiple punches” thrown, police have said.

The fight broke out on an Arriva Trains Wales service between Cardiff Central and Cwmbran and two people have since been arrested.

A British Transport Police spokesman said the “large fight” happened at around 8.50pm on Saturday, October 14, on the 8.10pm service between Cardiff Central and Cwmbran.

The spokesman said: “Whilst on board the train, a group of males began fighting. Officers believe there are victims who have not yet made any formal complaints.

“Officers are therefore appealing for witnesses and victims to get in touch as soon as possible.

“Two men, aged 21 and 22, were each arrested on suspicion of common assault.

“They have been interviewed in relation to this incident and released under investigation.”
