Ex-servicemen were most disrespectful

Western Mail - - WM2 -

I ATTENDED the Silence in the Square event in Swansea on Saturday, which had performances by Swansea Philharmonic Choir, Dancerama and two rising stars from Loud Applause.

They all gave very good performances. Unfortunately their singing could not be appreciated fully by the crowd thanks to a group of ex-servicemen (wearing medals) who talked loudly throughout the performances.

At the end I remonstrated with them and told them they were very rude. One of them told me he was entitled to be rude and said “goodbye” in a very dismissive tone.

They think youngsters are lacking in respect. Think again! H Williams Pontyates, Llanelli
