Bulgarian resort cheapest for skiers
A BULGARIAN resort has claimed top spot in an annual survey of the cheapest destinations for UK skiers.
Bansko in south-west Bulgaria has the lowest prices out of 25 European resorts for a one-week trip, according to Post Office Travel Money.
Prices include £164 for a ski pass, £72 for ski and boot hire and £43 for six lunches on the slopes.
The overall basket of goods featuring ski essentials, food and drink costs £405, the research in partnership with Crystal Ski Holidays found.
The most expensive European resort was Zermatt, Switzerland.
