Best known for… Richard is best known for play­ing Of­fice of Sci­en­tific In­tel­li­gence boss Oscar Gold­man in The Six Mil­lion Dol­lar Man (197478) and The Bionic Woman (1976-78). He also nar­rated the open­ing cred­its of The Six Mil­lion Dol­lar Man, be­gin­ning with the words, ‘Steve Austin. Astronaut. A man barely alive...’

Other achieve­ments… Richard played Lt Steve Drumm in Perry

Ma­son in the 1960s, ap­peared in Dy­nasty in 1986 and 1987, and nar­rated Kung Fu: The Leg­end Con­tin­ues in the 1990s.

Fam­ily life… Richard died on 31 Au­gust, aged 91, of nat­u­ral causes at his home in Bev­erly Hills, Cal­i­for­nia. He was twice di­vorced and is sur­vived by his three daugh­ters.
