Mick is forced to make a decision about the Carters’ future

What's on TV - - Contents -

Since Grafton Hill hit the Carters with a huge bill for repairs at The Vic, the family have rallied. Desperate to keep the pub going, they’ve approached the problem from all angles. But scheming Fi and her puppet-master dad Willmott-Brown have stood firm: pay up or get out…

This week, it’s crunch time. Yet, despite doublecrossing Fi having recently lowered the amount they owe by £10K, the Carters still can’t foot the bill.

Furious punters

Following a frank family discussion, during which the Carters are forced to face facts, despondent Mick heads down to the bar to make an announcement to their loyal punters. The regulars are aghast as the popular landlord admits they’re having to hand over the pub to its freeholders, Grafton Hill, as they’ve not been able to raise the cash for the renovations.

The bombshell news floors the drinkers who soon turn angry. United in their fury, Mick’s customers vow to help save The Queen Vic.

Hoping for that kind of a response, Mick’s relieved.

But can the resolve of the residents topple the Grafton Hill gang who are hellbent on owning the pub and seeing the Carters turfed out?
