Marriage and Murder!

Kate fears a couple she’s been dealing with at work are involved in something very sinister…

-

Registrar Kate Dickenson isn’t the only one with a lot on her plate in Love, Lies & Records this week, as her detective boyfriend Rob finds himself investigating the murder of a young girl.

Kate and Rob are dealing with matters of the heart, too – after 14 years together they’ve decided to get married!

‘There’s a lot of love in Rob and Kate’s relationship, but they’ve also been taking each other for granted,’ says Adrian Bower, who plays Rob. ‘They are good parents and good at their jobs, but their relationship has suffered. Plus, Kate’s hiding a secret that threatens to throw a spanner in the works.’

Meanwhile, at the register office, Kate’s shocked when ‘sham’ couple Kristina and Amir are given the go-ahead to marry by immigration.

As they return to register their intention to tie the knot, Kate’s still suspicious of Kristina’s interpreter, Dominica, who’s agitated when Kate requests that she leaves the room so she can talk to Kristina alone.

Foul play?

There’s more drama for Rob and Kate when their daughter Lucy bunks off school and Rob takes her back to the police station. While Lucy’s there, a young Slovenian woman comes to identify the murder victim. When Kate collects Lucy, she recognises the woman as Dominica’s friend. And later that night we see Dominica secretly watching Kate. What’s she up to?
