The action has moved on six months and Bones (Olly Rix) is the new leader of 2 Section as they work in refugee camps in Bangladesh to help the influx of refugees coming in from
Myanmar. He has brought in another medic, Ruby (Patrick McNamee), threatening Georgie’s (Michelle Keegan) position in 2 Section. Bones later spots a suspect package and believes he’s the target of an assassination attempt, so he leaps into action…
Recovering from his injuries, Captain James declares his love...
When Captain James seemed to be flirting with good friend Georgie during their terrifying escape through the jungle last week, we put it down to his woozy state, as he lay injured in the wilderness.
But, as we see him in recovery this week, it turns out it wasn’t the pain talking – he definitely has the hots for Georgie, and asks her if she could ever be in love with him.
It’s a blow for fans of Our Girl, who rooted for Captain James to get together with Molly Dawes (Lacey Turner) in previous series. The pair did, indeed, find love, got married and had a young son, but it seems cracks are beginning to appear.
‘Molly and James are going through a tough time,’ says Ben Aldridge, who plays the popular Captain. ‘They’ve been apart for months and that puts pressure on the relationship.
‘James is also suffering from losing Elvis and is experiencing symptoms of PTSD – and Molly is the only one who knows.’
With his emotions running high, his focus turns to Georgie. But soon his wish to protect her begins to change into something more...
‘Her welfare is of particular concern to him,’ says Ben.
‘He now feels she is his responsibility more than ever.’
Georgie rejects Captain James’ advances, reminding him he’s married and telling him to stay away from her.
With 2 Section moving on from Belize and heading to Bangladesh for another training exercise, Georgie hopes they won’t cross paths and she can avoid confronting her feelings. But is this the end of the story for the pair?
