Well, it was for most of Walford as they celebrated the LGBTQ+ community. But for Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway, it was a nightmare.
Callum was still engaged to Whitney Dean, who had no idea her man was pining for his secret lover Ben.
However, Callum was about to find out that his hard-nut, homophobic brother Stuart knew about his affair, having spotted the pair kissing.
During a confrontation at gay bar The Prince Albert, panicked Callum told his sibling it was a one-off and that he loved Whitney. Desperate for that to be true, Stuart went off on a crusade to get Ben out of his brother’s life.
While the party raged, Stuart let himself into the Arches and kicked 10 bells out of defiant Ben before leaving him in a pool of blood…
