Stephen Lawrence: Has Britain Changed?

ITV•

8pm

It’s been almost three decades since teenager Stephen Lawrence was murdered in a racially motivated attack in 1993, while waiting for a bus in Eltham, southeast London. The shocking case led to changes in police practice and brought to light issues of institutional racism in Britain. But in the wake of the killing of George Floyd in the US, more questions have been asked about the realities of racial inequality in Britain. So how much has really changed since Stephen’s murder 27 years ago and what more can be done? This live programme sees presenters Rageh Omaar and Anushka Asthana joined by a panel of high-profile guests to examine racial issues in the UK and what needs to change.
