Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - ONLINE RESOURCES -

Although the range of Scottish maps here is second to none, this website also includes detailed historic Ordnance Survey maps for much of the UK with more to come. You may be able to view the actual house that your ancestors lived in. Know Your Place is a unique research resource for those wishing to pin down the location of their ancestors’ homes in Bristol. The site contains maps of the city from 1750 to the present day that can be overlaid to show changes in the city’s development over 250 years. There are also layers of local information and records that can be accessed including thousands of historic photos of the city. Plans are currently being made to extend this resource to cover the historic counties of Gloucestershire and Somerset. Recommended by the Bristol and Avon Family History Society
