Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - ON THE RECORD -

Papers revealing details of approximately 60,000 people who sat Civil Service examinations between 1855 and 1939 have been released on the web. Available through the Society of Genealogists’ Data Online service ( sog.ourarchives.info/bin/ index.php), the documents were submitted by candidates to provide proof that they were at least 21 years old. Although scans can only be viewed by members of the Society of Genealogists, anyone can search for a name in the collection for free.
