Bed­side man­ners Uni­formed nurses and mid­wives march to the Royal Al­bert Hall in Lon­don as part of the Pageant of Women’s Trades and Pro­fes­sions, on 27 April 1909. The event was or­gan­ised by the Na­tional Union of Women’s Suf­frage So­ci­eties (NUWSS), which cam­paigned for votes for women.
