CAN YOU HELP?

Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - ON THE RECORD -

A school set up to teach blind children in Worcester is searching for the descendants of past students to help commemorate its 150th birthday next year.

Founded by two vicars as The College For The Blind Sons of Gentlemen in 1866, New College Worcester moved to its present site on Whittington Road in 1902, later merging with its sister school for girls in Chorleywood in 1987.

The college’s Former Students Association is keen to hear any memories that people may have about the school, and to collect memorabilia from those whose ancestors were pupils, whether blind or partially sighted. They would also like to gather information about teachers and other members of staff.

If you can help, write to David Scott, 38 Brocks Hill Drive, Oadby LE2 5RD. You can also phone 0116 271 5847 or email david972scott@ btinternet.com.
