Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - WELCOME - Acting Editor Claire Vaughan,

There’s been a real buzz in the office as we’ve put this month’s issue together. The 12th series of Who Do You Think You Are? starts in mid-August and we’ve taken a peek behind the scenes to see what’s in store (see page 19). The celebrities uncover some really unusual stories this year and I can’t wait to see what resources they used. If you get the family history bug after watching the show or want to get your research organised, our editor Sarah has put together a fascinating guide to giving yourself the WDYTYA? treatment (page 27).

Often, missing birth records can halt your research in its tracks – our feature on page 61 shows you how vaccination registers may provide an answer. You might also be unable to find baptism, marriage or death records because your ancestor was a nonconformist (see page 56), or have too many individuals with the same name to choose from – see this month’s Genealogy Masterclass on page 54 for some expert advice.

Anyway, enjoy the start of the series. Let us know what you think!
