CAN YOU HELP? ?

Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - ON THE RECORD -

The National Army Museum is searching for volunteers to help tell personal stories from the Battle of Waterloo.

Following support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the London museum has digitised hundreds of diaries and letters penned by men who fought in the famous battle and other conflicts of the Napoleonic Wars.

Although the material has been scanned, the text is not yet searchable. To make it more accessible, people are invited to tag and transcribe the pages so they can be added to the museum’s Online Collection ( nam.ac.uk/onlinecollection) for researchers to explore.

The transcription is carried out entirely online, meaning volunteers can work from home and in their own time. To find out more about the project and get involved, visit bit.ly/1OeV9mj.
