A lead­ing au­thor is search­ing for peo­plle with an­ces­tors who cam­paigned for women’s suf­frage.

Jane Robin­son, who has writ­ten the Women’s In­sti­tute fea­ture in this month’s is­sue ( page 64), has been com­mis­sioned to write a new ti­tle to mark the cen­te­nary of Votes for Women in 2018.

En­ti­tled Hearts and Minds, the book will be based on the first- hand ac­counts of those in­volved. This will not only in­clude the sto­ries of suf­fragettes, but also suf­frag­ists, who cam­paigned with­out vi­o­lence.
