One mil­lion min­utes of his­toric news­reel footage have been up­loaded to the web for the first time. Spread across two dif­fer­ent YouTube chan­nels, the As­so­ci­ated Press has digi­tised and up­loaded more than 550,000 film clips of world events dat­ing back to the late-19th cen­tury, in­clud­ing re­ports of the Bat­tle of the Somme, Hin­den­burg Disas­ter, Lon­don Blitz and the fall of the Ber­lin Wall.
