A team of Ir­ish fam­ily his­to­ri­ans has helped to make an his­toric Catholic ‘census’ more widely avail­able. Or­gan­ised by Claire Santry of­ish ge­nealog­y­, mem­bers of the Ir­ish Ge­nealog­i­cal Re­search So­ci­ety tran­scribed a list of peo­ple res­i­dent in Bal­ly­mena, Co Antrim, which was dis­cov­ered in­side a lo­cal parish reg­is­ter. Be­lieved to date from 1887, the list records the names and ages of each parish­ioner, plus de­tails of how reg­u­larly they at­tended mass. Search at iris­hances­
