This year marked a turn­ing point in women’s fash­ion, as skirts be­came sig­nif­i­cantly shorter and even­tu­ally reached knee­length. The stream­lined sil­hou­ette as­so­ci­ated with the 1920s also de­vel­oped. Nar­row-cut lounge suits for men were com­mon al­though wider trousers, such as ‘Ox­ford Bags’, were the favoured trousers for the most fash­ion­able.
