Gardening to Gardner

Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine - - WRITE IN -

While channel hopping, I happened upon the WDYTYA? programme featuring Frank Gardner. I was immediately hooked upon hearing the name Rollestone (my maiden name) and connections with the Midlands, as I originated from Leicester.

I have dusted off my laptop and purchased the October copy of your magazine. The next step is to decide on a package and, with a few pointers from friends, I am embarking upon a new hobby.

As I was born in 1942, I retain memories of some past generations, together with handed-down stories. There is also a family business to research.

The garden has been ‘put to bed’ for the winter and I look forward to many happy hours in front of the computer.

I would be honoured to be related to Frank Gardner, let alone William the Conqueror! Wendy Brown, by email Editor replies: Welcome to genealogy, Wendy. It’s always great to hear that the show has inspired people to start their research. I wish you luck finding a link to Frank. Narkundra crew
